Parlin transcribes on the Mac it is installed on. There is no account to provision, no server of ours that receives your audio, and nothing for a security review to assess. Buy once, one key per person, three Macs per key.

Most of a security review is already answered.

Law firms, clinics, finance teams and government contractors buy Parlin for one reason before any feature: the recording of a client, a patient or a deposition never leaves the room. There is no cloud service to assess, no data of yours on our side, and no login to connect to your identity provider.

Where does the audio go?: Nowhere. Speech recognition and cleanup run on the Mac, on its Neural Engine and GPU. We operate no server that receives audio or transcripts, so there is nothing of yours for us to lose or to hand over.
What does the app send you?: One thing: the licence key and a name for the Mac it is running on, so a key cannot run on more than three machines. No transcript content, no file names, no recordings.
Does it work without a network?: Yes. Dictation, transcription and cleanup are local. The app keeps working for 7 days after its last licence check, then asks to check in again.
What happens when someone leaves?: Email us and we turn their key off and issue a replacement. Because of the 7-day offline window, a revoked seat can keep working for up to a week on a Mac that never comes online. We would rather you knew that now.

For 100 seats and up we scope a rollout with your IT team, on Macs managed by MDM, and can discuss integration with your meeting tools and a Windows edition under a separate agreement.

To be exact about what that sentence means: the Mac app ships today, and the MDM package is something we build for you. Meeting-tool integration and a Windows edition do not exist yet. If you need either, we will put the terms, the scope and the dates in the agreement before you pay, rather than sell you a promise on a pricing page.

What we do not have.

Better here than in a procurement call three weeks from now.

No single sign-on: There is nothing to sign in to. Parlin has no user account, so there is no identity to federate.
No admin console: Seats are licence keys, and you manage them with us by email. For a tool with no server-side state there is nothing for a console to show.
No SOC 2 or ISO 27001: Both audit a cloud service. We do not run one, which is why your audio never reaches us in the first place.
No uptime commitment: The app does not need our servers to work. It runs for 7 days without reaching us at all; the licence check is the only thing that depends on us.
